Higg FEM 4.0 Knowledge Sharing & Roundtable Discussion

Since the launch of the Higg Facility Environmental Module (FEM 4.0) in November 2024, significant strides have been made in implementing the updated framework. This workshop aims to provide a platform for sharing insights and experiences gathered during this transformative period.

The session will commence with a brief update from the Cascale Higg Facility Team, highlighting key changes from Higg FEM 3.0 to 4.0 and offering an overview of observed data points since its launch. Following this, industry peers, including brands and manufacturers, will share firsthand accounts of their experiences and lessons learned in adopting Higg FEM 4.0.

Subsequently, attendees will have an exclusive opportunity to contribute their insights on the evolution of Higg FEM. Through a series of structured discussions, participants will provide feedback on four proposed changes solicited from our Cascale community. These discussions will culminate in a sharing of opinions and the collation of results. Our expert Cascale Facilities Team will then synthesize this information to inform the development of future iterations of the tool.

Science-Based Target Training

Prepare for a hands-on learning experience with our Science-Based Target Training, a comprehensive 3 1/2-hour session designed to empower participants with essential knowledge and skills for setting impactful, science-based targets.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Understanding the Significance: Understand the vital role and advantages of establishing science-based targets in driving global decarbonization efforts.
  • Practical Application: Bring your laptops and get ready for interactive sessions where you’ll develop a greenhouse gas inventory and set emission reduction targets using the SBTi’s target setting tool. Prior to the training, participants will receive a pre-read to prepare for the session.
  • Strategic Positioning: Elevate your strategic positioning by aligning with the increasing demand for global decarbonization efforts. Explore how science-based targets can enhance your sustainability initiatives and set you apart as a leader in your industry.

This training includes captivating presentations by seasoned sustainability professionals, interactive activities, and guided exercises for practical learning. Participants will be expected to take an online exam at the conclusion of the workshop to assess their comprehension and application of the material. A passing rate of at least 70% will earn participants a course certification, validating their mastery of science-based targets. Join us and take the first step towards a more sustainable future.

Empowering Workers and Ensuring Equity Workshop
3 1/2 hours

Join this workshop focused on empowering workers and ensuring equity in Chinese manufacturing. During this 3 1/2 hour workshop we will dive into data insights specific to China, engage in discussions on health and safety standards, and hear firsthand case studies from manufacgturers and service providers on how they’ve elevated their business strategies to amplify their workers’ voices.

What to Expect:

  • Cascale & SLCP Collaboration: China Performance Trends Through Data Insights: Gain insights from Cascale and Social & Labor Convergence Program (SLCP) teams, setting the stage for an enriching session dedicated to worker empowerment through Higg Facility Social & Labor Module (FSLM) and Converged Assessment Framework (CAF). Delve deep into data insights tailored to the unique landscape of Chinese manufacturers, offering valuable perspectives for informed decision-making that prioritizes social labor rights.
  • Peer-to-Peer Learning: Amplifying Workers’ Voice in Manufacturing: Here participants will engage in peer-to-peer learning opportunities centered around amplifying the voices of workers in the manufacturing sector. Industry experts will share firsthand experiences and insights, offering valuable learnings and best practices aimed at fostering worker empowerment and participation. Through interactive discussions, attendees will gain deeper insights into the challenges and successes encountered in promoting workers’ voice within manufacturing environments. Additionally, the session will explore the role of service providers in addressing these challenges and enhancing FSLM user scores. By examining the offerings of service providers, participants will discover innovative solutions to empower workers and elevate workplace standards.
  • Interactive Q&A: Finally, we will finish the session with an interactive Q&A discussion aimed at supporting our attendees in developing a plan to apply the solutions that they’ve learned from today’s sessions into their business models and day-to-day operations. Here, they will be given the opportunity to ask questions to the distinguished speakers from the workshop.
